Physical Education Syllabus
Objective: Physical Education should provide equal opportunity for students to create, learn, enjoy, and participate in skill development through a variety of physical activities that have lifelong value. These activities should be designed to contribute to good physical, mental, social and emotional health.
Student Responsibilities for 3K-4th
Students will be graded on effort, attitude and participation. Students in 3K-4th do not dress out for PE but they are expected to do the following:
• Follow rules and regulations governing activities, use of equipment and behavior.
• Demonstrate effort to perform required skills and apply them in related activities.
• Demonstrate sportsmanship and respect for others through team and individual play.
• Be a good role model for others.
• Develop a lifelong knowledge for use of activities.
• Develop an appreciation for fitness and an understanding of the need to exercise at home.
• Present proper written doctor or parental excuse to the PE teachers prior to the start of class if unable to participate in physical education class.
